GOLD PHONE BUDDIES

My health and hope had gone until I was referred to the GOLD phone buddy scheme for Black patients by my nurse. The support from my buddy was brilliant! I hadn't discussed living donation with my family because I just didn't know how too. My buddy who is from my community shared his story of donating to his sister in a way I really understood. After talking with them, I was able to talk with my family and sister offered to be my donor. My buddy has given me a glimmer of hope, I'm smiling again
